The Beer Store launches fleet advertising

Toronto, ON - December 11, 2007 - The Beer Store announced this week that it has teamed up with Market Information Services of Canada Inc. (MISC) and Revision Marketing Inc. to sell advertising on its truck fleet.

"Using our trucks to produce revenue through advertising sales is something that we have been looking at for some time" said Ted Moroz, VP of Logistics at The Beer Store. 'The issue with the medium in the past has primarily been with the lack of metrics available to advertisers and their agencies. Revision Marketing and MISC have solved that problem with SAMI', said Moroz.

Satellite Automated Media Information (SAMI) is a proprietary reporting system designed and developed by MISC to meet the needs of the fleet advertising medium. The system uses GPS units installed on all of The Beer Store's trucks and trailers to monitor routes. The web-based system receives the data at regular intervals and processes this information with traffic counts through MISC's Charting Pro software to provide average Daily Effective Circulation. Advertisers get actual CPMs along with detailed maps outlining market coverage within 24 hours!

"The other issue with the medium has been the quality of the fleets available" said Ron Gibson, President of Revision Marketing Inc., "The Beer Store trucks are always clean, they are speed-governed, and they are operated by responsible, courteous drivers".

The Beer Store trucks visit 17,000+ bars and restaurants and over a 1,000 beer and liquor stores throughout Ontario. Most of these drop-points are located in malls and urban areas unlike other delivery fleets that visit industrial malls.

By combining the medium metrics provided by SAMI and their quality truck fleet The Beer Store is confident that this medium is finally ready for prime time.
